With regrets, we announce the passing of our loving husband and father, Timothy Alfred Gardiner, 64, on Saturday, March 11, 2017. 

Tim was born on September 10, 1952 in Punxsutawney to two wonderful parents, George S. and Mable (Orris) Gardiner. 

Tim graduated with a business degree from Clarion University.  He then went on to be a District Manager for Radio Shack in places such as Chicago and Detroit before moving to Indiana, Pa. and settling down.  Here, Tim established his advertising agency working with some incredible local business owners and media representatives.  

Those familiar with Tim knew he did not take much time off.   When he did, Tim spent it coaching his son, Blair, in T-ball, elementary basketball and rec league baseball.  Blair still has vivid memories of his father’s “turtle” defense in basketball.   Tim never missed a Steeler game, read every murder mystery he could get his hands on, and cherished his time fishing at camp. 

Surviving are his wife Cynthia (Overman) Gardiner; son, Blair; brother, Philip and his wife, Gina; and sister, Susan Froman and husband Bob. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.
