Betty Gail Lawson, 79, Josephine, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at her residence.

The daughter of Robert and Glance Sr. and Olive Marie Stiles, she was born May 27, 1937 in Yankeetown (Homer City), PA.

Betty was employed as a nurse’s aide. She enjoyed biking and would ride her bicycle everywhere. She was also an avid collector of nick-knacks, esp. owls and loved to watch the demolition derbies.

She will be remembered as a loving mom, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

Surviving are her children; Robbie (Melanie) Glance, Palmertown, Skip Lawson and his friend, Betsie Long, Josephine, Bud Lawson, Indiana, Connie (Jerry) Griffen, Homer City, Allen Lawson, Glen Campbell, and Matt (Beth)  Lawson, Indiana; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Preceding Betty in death by her parents, husband William Boyd Lawson Sr.; son, Wayne; granddaughter, Mindy; brothers, Danny Guiste Sr., Melvin Guiste, “Ding” Guiste and “Bo” Glance; and a sister, Elsie Clawson.

Funeral arrangements will be private and under the direction of the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana.
