Bill was a well-known figure in the Indiana area. He was an entrepreneur who owned Bill’s Janitorial and Bee Control businesses. He grew up thirsting to learn everything about bees from his grandfather Steele Kerr.

The son of Walter J. and Fannie (Kerr) Stancombe, he was born July 6, 1945 in Indiana.

Bill was a great humanitarian and was known in the community for his many contributions.

He was a member of the Indiana Lion’s Club where he was in charge of arranging events such as the July 4th fireworks and demolition derbies. He loved the County fairs and was active in the Indiana County parades.

Bill won the 2014 Leader’s Circle of Indiana County Male Civic Leader of the Year award. He donated his time for missionary work and traveled to India in January of 2014. He also enjoyed making children smile, laugh and playing Santa Claus. Most importantly, Bill lived to serve the Lord.

In his spare time, Bill loved to go on cruises. Recently, he went skydiving, one more item he removed from his bucket list. He collected bells, model cars and trucks.
