Edmund Lorelli

August 18, 1927 ~ July 5, 2016 (age 88) 88 Years Old


Edmund “Ed” Lorelli, 88, Indiana, pasted away Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born August 18, 1927 in Beyer, PA, he was the son of James and Antoinette (Brash) Lorelli.

Mr. Lorelli was a member of the St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church where he was an usher and also a member of the Knights of Columbus.  Ed was a little league umpire and manager for thirty years.

He had been employed by U.S. Steel as a crane operator.

As a corporal in the Army, he was a forward observer in the 7th Infantry Division, 48th Field Artillery Battalion and at one point, stationed in Japan. He served his country for seven years, having won various service metals.

On September 30, 2013, the Indiana Gazette published an article about Ed’s experience during his enlistment.

Surviving is his wife, Loretta (Helman) Lorelli, whom he wed on November 1, 1952; and a son, Geno Lorelli, Indiana.

Mr. Lorelli was preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers.

Funeral arrangements will be private and under the direction of the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.
