Obituary: Carol Jean “Jeanne” Engel, 67, Indiana, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016, while a patient at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

The daughter of Raymond E. and Mary Elizabeth (McCoy) Weiss, she was born July 30, 1948 in Indiana, PA.

Jeanne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She had been happily employed twenty years by Indiana Borough in parking authority and as a crossing guard. In her spare time, Jeanne enjoyed gardening, knitting and crafts.

Surviving is her husband of 48 years, Robert Engel, whom she wed August 12, 1967; sons, Robert Charles Engel Jr., Indiana, Kevin R. Engel and his significant other Stephanie Aikens, Sigel; grandchildren, Laken Elizabeth and Mason Ray Engel, Clymer; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral arrangements will be private and entrusted to the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana.
