Carol Ann (Bash) Blatt, 69, Indiana, went to be with God on Sunday, November 27, 2016.

The daughter of Paul U. and Anna (Rohachek) Bash, she was born October 24, 1947. 

Carol graduated from Indiana Area High School in 1965.  She married Paul Richard Blatt, who was a career military man, in August 1966.  As a new bride at the age of 18, she traveled alone to Japan to be with her husband and arrived on Christmas Day in 1966.  She then traveled throughout her marriage to Guam, Maryland, Virginia, and Scotland.  She returned to Indiana after military retirement in 1983.  Carol was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Elizabeth Black Quilting Circle within the church.

Carol enjoyed her children and granddaughters (her little angels).  Her granddaughters were the joys of her life.  She loved making pancakes with them, attending their school events, taking them to Idlewild Park yearly, and spending time with each of them.  Carol also enjoyed gardening and preparing luncheons each month for the senior citizens of Trinity Church.  As well as good fellowship with other Christians.  Carol and Paul looked forward to seeing other places on bus tours together, including her favorites, Branson, MO, Mackinac Island, MI, Phipps Conservatory, Pitsburgh, and the Wilds, OH.  Her mission in life seemed to be to always help others and to serve in any way she could.  Others always came before her needs.  Carol found peace in everyone’s happiness.

Surviving is her husband, Paul Blatt of 50 years; two daughters, Rebecca Lynn Penrose, Brush Valley and Malinda Faye (Richard, Jr.) Bush, Zionsville, IN; granddaughters, Jordan and Ashley Penrose, and Sarah and Mary Bush; mother, Anna Bash, brother, Ronald Fulmer and friend, Geri, Lugoff, SC; and sister, Shirley (Robert) Plavi, Home.

Preceding Carol in death was her father.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, November from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana.  An additional hour of viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday morning in the Trinity United Methodist Church with funeral service to immediately follow with Rev. Greg Golden, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.
