Raymond Clark Houser, 89, Indiana, died peacefully Tuesday, January 2, 2018 while at Communities of Indian Haven.
The son of Joseph and Irene (Jamison) Houser, he was born May 15, 1928 in Rayne Township.
Raymond’s employment included numerous jobs throughout his life of which the Human Society was the job he enjoyed the most. Raymond also enjoyed farming and was always willing to help others in need. He attended the Washington Presbyterian Church and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, and great greatgrandfather.
Surviving is his wife, Mildred Irene (Cameron) Houser whom he wed December 23, 1951; children, Homer W. (Carol) Bishop, Streeter, IL, Janet I. Bishop-Hannah, Reynoldsville, Kenneth R. (Ruth) Houser, Home, and Thomas E. (Karen) Houser, Clymer; grandchildren, Daniel (Donna) Bishop, Annette Bishop, Vicki (Tony) Calchera, Rebecca (Mario) Tedeschi, Jr., Sandy (David) Corbeil, Robert D. (Robin) Hannah, Michael (Christina) Hannah, Matthew (Shannon) Hannah, Andrew (Jessica) Hannah, Susan (Joseph) Koncewicz, Candy (Ken) Stitt, Edward (Lindsay) Houser, Kevin (Liz) Houser, and Kelly Houser; a sister, Ruth LaVan, Home; and numerous great and great greatgrandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Raymond in death were his parents and sisters, Arlene Houser and Thelma Peron.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Raymond's life on Saturday from 10a.m. to noon at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. A Memorial service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Indiana County Humane Society.
