Paul George Zubalik, 89, Indiana, died Saturday, October 21, 2017 at St. Andrews Village;
The son of Anthony George and Catherine (Sova) Zubalik, he was born March 21, 1928 in Greensburg, PA.
Paul was self-employed and owner of the Rolling Green Acres Dairy. He also at one time owned and operated the Western Auto stores in Indiana and Clymer.
Paul had been a veteran having served from 1945 to 1949 and was stationed in Alaska as a Medic.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed getting people to laugh. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved his family and lived life to its fullest.
Surviving are his daughters; Paula Kostryk, Marion Center, Janice (William) McCunn, Indiana, Carol Zbur, Indiana, and Christine Bennett, Montana; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; sisters Cynthia (Bernard) Denis, Greensburg, and Barbara Zubalik, Greensburg; son-in-law, Gary Toy, Shelocta, sister-in-law, Marilyn Zubalik, Blairsville; Susan Fetsko, who Paul considered his sixth daughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Audrey (West) Zubalik in 2007; daughter, Deborah Zubalik-Toy; brother, David Zubalik; sister, Jacqueline Deeds; son-in law, William Kostryk.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Foundation or a Hospice Center of your choice.
