Robert F. Shoenfelt, 101, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, February 08, 2017 while at Communities of Indian Haven.
The son of Homer and Blanche (Fouse) Shoenfelt, he was born August 29, 1915 in Blair County.
Mr. Shoenfelt was a World War II Veteran having served in the 10th Armored Division. He was also a post stander at the tomb of the unknown soldier at Arlington, VA. Mr. Shoenfelt was a recipient of the bronze star.
Robert was a member of the Indiana Lions Club and the Grace United Methodist Church.
Mr. Shoenfelt was founder of Shoenfelt Plumbing and Heating which he established in 1964.
Surviving are his children, Barbara (Lisle) Montgomery, Home, Jeffrey T. (Melinda) Shoenfelt, Indiana, Daniel (Sarah) Shoenfelt, Amman, Jordan, daughter-in-law, Diane Shoenfelt, Penn Run; step-children, Karen (Dave) Fitzgerald, Suzanne Moss, and P. Terry Shoenfelt; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Herbert Shoenfelt, Hollidaysburg.
Preceding Robert in death were his first wife, S. Ann and second wife, Bessie V.; a son, R. David Shoenfelt; and four brothers and one sister.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will immediately follow at 5 p.m. in the Lefdahl Chapel with Pastor Kathy Mihoerck, officiating.
Interment in the Fairview Cemetery in Martinsburg, PA will be private.
