Robert “Chip” Capriani, Jr. 85, Indiana, passed away Thursday, September 08, 2016 while at Rustic Manor Personal Care Home.
The son of Robert and Theresa (Alloy) Capriani, he was born May 13, 1931 in Homer City.
Chip was a Korean War Veteran having served in the Army. He had been employed by FMC and retired after approximately 40 years of service. He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church. His interests included fishing, hunting, gardening and wood working. He will be remembered as an excellent husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Beverly (Davis) Capriani whom he wed August 17, 1956; children, Timothy (Kathy) Capriani, Fredericksburg, VA and Mark (Kim) Capriani, Bellefonte, PA; four grandchildren, Matthew (Tisha) Capriani, Fincastle, VA, Joshua (Elyce) Capriani, Fredericksburg, VA, Alex and Mary Capriani, both of Bellefonte, PA; a great-grandchild, Sullivan; a sister, Mary (Robert) Little, Indiana; a niece, Jill (Chuck) Krabitz, MD; and a nephew, Christopher (Nancy) Little, PA.
Preceding Chip in death were his parents.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. An additional hour of visitation will be conducted on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Bethel Presbyterian Church, Indiana. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. in the church with Pastor Terry Semsick, officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery where military rites will be provided by VFW Post 1989.
