Paul D. DeHaven, Sr., 69 of Marion Center passed away peacefully while at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital on Monday, April 10, 2017.

The son of Lyle and Anna (Tonkin) DeHaven.  Paul was born October 28, 1947 in Wooster, OH.

Paul was a 1966 graduate of Marion Center High School and was self-employed numerous years by Duo Construction.  Paul loved horses, hunting, and spending time with his family.  He was an avid reader, enjoyed watching IUP basketball, supported the 4H and livestock at the county fairs, and was one of the founding members for the Marion Center Football Boosters. 

Surviving is his wife, Sharon (Rainey) DeHaven; three children, Paul D. (Monica L.) DeHaven, Jr., Marion Center, Janice (Steve) Hoculock, Leechburg, and Michael (Jeanine) DeHaven, Home; grandchildren, Robin DeHaven, Marion Center, Brice Hoculock, Leechburg, Mariah Hoculock, Leechburg, Micaylee, Shae and Olivia DeHaven, all of Home; siblings, Kenneth (Tammy) DeHaven, Blairsville, Robert (Kathy) DeHaven, Marion Center, Deborah (Brian) Robertson, Indiana; Beverly (Frank) Ferrier, Marion Center; aunt, Phyllis Rainey, Indiana; sister-in-law, Lois DeHaven, Marion Center; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Paul in death were his parents.

A Memorial Service is scheduled to celebrate Paul’s life on April 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Homer City Nazarene Church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Village, 1155 Indian Springs Road, Indiana, PA 15701. 

 

The John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home has been entrusted with Mr. DeHaven’s arrangements.
