Maynard Paul Miller, 91, Marion Center, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 while at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

The son of Alice Mae Miller, he was born March 13, 1925 in Brush Valley, PA.

Maynard will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and flowers.  Maynard was a friend to many.

Surviving is his wife, Eleanor (Bennett) Miller, whom he wed July 3, 1955; children, David (Carol) Miller, Marion Center and Maynard L. Miller, Commodore; sister, Marie Lewis, Indiana; four grandchildren, Leona Johnson (who was Mr. Miller’s primary care giver) and her fiancée Richard Hetrick, Hope (Mike) Millar, Nathan (Lori) Miller, and Steven (Pam) Miller; seven great-grandchildren, Austin Buterbaugh, Shania and Kayla Lemmon, Maleia, Landen, Dustin, and Cole Miller; sisters-in-law, Elzina Hazel and Barbara Bennett; brother-in-law, Thomas (Hilda) Bennett, foster son, Bruce M. Saltsgiver; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Maynard in death was his mother; sister, Mary E. Gross; brother, Merle Galentine; and his beloved dog, Baby Joy.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. An addition hour of viewing will be held Thursday morning from 10 to 11 am in the funeral home with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Bruce Shannon, officiating.

Interment will follow in Marion Center Cemetery.
