Jean Kromer, 91, Indiana, died Saturday, August 20, 2016, while at Scenery Hill Manor.

The daughter of Phillip Ross and Amy Campbell (Clawson) Zimmerman, she was born October 7, 1924, in Lucerne Mines, PA.

Jean was the oldest surviving member of Summit Church who was devoted to her religion. Over her lifetime, she had been employed as a waitress at local restaurants, Campus Sportswear, King Leather, and for almost forty years at Season All Industries. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her children; Darlene (John) Midock, Tucson, AZ, Rickey (Bonnie) Kromer, Strongstown, Rockey (Karen) Kromer, Indiana, Walter Kromer, Elderton, Mark W. Kromer, Indiana, and Beverly Stiles, Homer City; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Joanne Zimmerman, Indiana.

Preceding Jean in death were her parents; husband Raymond C. Kromer;  sons, Edward and Raymond;  an infant daughter; three great grandchildren; brothers, Leslie, Phillip Jr., Kenneth, Lewis, Paul and Clifford; and sister Betty Lou.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. An additional hour of viewing will be held Wednesday morning at the Summit Church from 10 to 11 am with funeral service to immediately follow with Pastor Dick Motzing, officiating. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery will be private.
