Helen Chronoski, 94, Indiana (formerly of Ernest) passed away at her home on Friday, May 06, 2016.
Helen was a graduate of Indiana Teachers College where she earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree in Business Education. She taught at Indiana High School from 1967 to 1995 and prior to that taught at Shade High School in Cairnbrook, PA.
Helen was a member of St. Thomas More Parish and had previously attended the Church of Resurrection in Ernest.
Helen had many interests which included playing cards, dining with friends, traveling, playing golf, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a self-sacrificing woman who was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Surviving are her children, Jean (Edward) Cunnings, Indiana, Mary Novak, Ernest; grandchildren, Suzanne “ Sue” Novak and Alex Novak, both of Ernest and Paul Novak, Indiana; a great grandchild, Abigail Novak, Sewickley, PA; brothers, Henry Belock, Williamsport, PA and George (Lois) Belock, Tucson, AZ; sister-in-law, Joyce Belock; brother-in-law, Charles Kleba; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Belock; husband, Anthony; sisters, Steffey Ruthosky, and Margaret Kleba; brothers, John, Ed, Stan, and Dave.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 5 to 8pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 9, 10 am at the St. Thomas More University Parish with Father Alan Polczynski as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
