Carol Ann Allison, 72, Dayton, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at UPMC Passavant Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle against cancer.

Carol was the daughter of Stanley and Mary (Matala) Suboleski. Carol was born July 11, 1945 in Johnstown, PA.

She attended the Plumcreek Church of the Brethren. Carol was the rock of the family and always put her family first. She loved and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who referred to her as Grammy Yum Yum.  Carol was known for capturing all the family activities on camera or video so as to create lasting memories. In her free time she enjoyed going to the beach and had a special place in her heart for Emerald Isle, North Carolina.

Surviving is her husband of 53 years, John Allison; children, Shari Goodyear (significant other, Rockney Gallagher), Harrisburg; Kami (Steven) Marshall, Creekside; Lisa Batson (fiancée, Paul Korzec), Michigan; John Allison III, Brockway; and Staci Allison, Maryland; grandchildren, Trista (Eric) Barilar, Ryan Goodyear, Justin Palmer, Ashley (Luke) States, Joshua Marshall, Lindsey Marshall (significant other, Patrick Hoyman), Jeremy (Miranda) Batson, Allyson Batson, Brendan Allison, Bailey Allison, Kailyn DeGraeve and MacKenzie DeGraeve; great grandchildren, Abbi, Ryeley, and Kashen States, Braylee Marshall, Maddilyn Hoyman, Garrett Batson; a brother, Stanley (Judith) Suboleski, Richmond, VA.

Preceding Carol in death were her parents.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 8 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. An additional hour of viewing will be held Monday morning from 10 to 11am with funeral service to immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Pastor Randy Derck, officiating. Interment in the Greenwood cemetery will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 600 Waterfront Drive #210 Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
