Anna “Nora” Swanlek, 87, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 while at St. Andrew’s Village.

The daughter of Franklin Paul and Emma Faye (Neal) Neese, she was born February 13, 1929 in Ernest, PA.

Nora had been employed by the Children’s Shop in Indiana as well as the Newsstand that had been on Philadelphia Street. 

Having no children of her own, Nora loved being part of her nieces and nephews lives.  During her lifetime, she had attended churches in both Ernest and Indiana.

Surviving are her brothers, Robert (Marlene) Neese, Home, Kenneth (Irene) Neese, Baden, and Harold “Butch” (Shirley) Neese, Derry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nora was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony whom she wed July 7, 1953; and a brother, Donald.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana, PA.  Funeral service will be conducted Friday morning at 11 a.m. in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Bruce Shannon, officiating.  Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery will be private.
