Alex Jared Jones, 28, Indiana, most beloved son of Susan E. Kirkpatrick, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, July 8, 2017.

The son of William A. Jones, III, and Susan E. Kirkpatrick, he was born September 27, 1988 at Latrobe Hospital but he was a life-long resident of Indiana County.

Alex was smart, quite witty and always enjoyed getting people to laugh. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and was a hard worker. Alex loved riding his off-road bike with his friends. Alex was known as a kind man.

Surviving are his parents; his grandmother Peggy Jones; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including Alex's best friend, Zachary Kochik. Alex had a little dog, Trixie, who he loved and cared for.

If anyone would like to honor Alex's memory, his mother suggests that you give the gift of kindness to someone.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana.  A memorial service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel.
