William M. Srsic, 78, of Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was born December 1, 1945 to Michael J. and Rosalia (Woznicki) Srsic in Pittsburgh.
Bill was a graduate of Edinboro University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in secondary education and a Master’s degree in higher education. Bill worked in financial aid at IUP for more than forty years before retiring.
Bill has been a member of St. Thomas More University Parish since 1969. Growing up in Pittsburgh, he was active at the Sarah Heinz House boys and girls club and at Edinboro University he was the social director of his fraternity, Tau Kappa Epsilon. In Indiana, he was an active member of the Allied Club, the Elks (Lodge 931), the Eagles (Aerie 1468) and the Moose (Lodge 174). He also stayed involved in Javor Hall, a Croatian Fraternal Union lodge in Pittsburgh. Bill loved taking walks in Indiana, playing cards, talking to friends and strangers alike. Bill loved spending time with his family, particularly at North Myrtle Beach.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara J. (Leary) Srsic, Indiana, three sons, and a daughter: Michael J. Srsic (Julie), Denver, CO, Daniel W. Srsic (Colby), Columbus, OH, William N. Srsic (Melody), Berea, KY, Carrie J. Skillin (Larry), Davenport, IA; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Martin (Greg), Alex Skillin, Azyl Srsic, Duncan Srsic, Amanda Srsic, Luka Srsic, Eleanor Srsic; and his beloved sister, Michaeline Srsic of Pittsburgh.
Friends will be received at Lefdahl funeral home in Indiana, PA Tuesday from 3-7 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00-11AM with a Prayer Service following, officiated by Fr. Richard N. Owens.
