William Leonard Moore, 76, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023, while a patient at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
The son of William Reuben and Cleora Ruth (James) Moore, he was born December 13, 1946 in Homer City, PA.
Bill was a 1964 graduate of Laura Lamar High School. He was employed as a Boiler Maker and Welder and was a member of the UA Local #4 Pipefitters and Plumbers Union.
During his life, he resided in TX, TN, PA and thirty-five years in Fitchburg, MA where he had numerous friends. He always enjoyed riding his Harley, cooking, and exchanging recipes.
Locally, Bill liked to meet a few times a week with his breakfast group friends at the Homer City Sheetz.
Surviving are his children, William David (Kathy) Moore, Cranberry, PA, Nicholas Scott Moore, Homer City, and Zachary Moore, TX; grandchildren, Colin Moore, Greensburg, Emily Moore, Indiana, and Logan Moore, TX; sister, Kathryn (Gary) DeCarlo, Homer City; niece, Cheri (Michael) Joseph, Brush Valley; nephews, Chad Stiles, Seward and Derek (Bethany) DeCarlo, Greensburg; brother-in-law Dennis Stiles, Brush Valley.
Preceding Bill in death were his parents and a sister, Linda “Lyn” Stiles.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 6 to 8 pm at the John A Lefdahl Funeral Home.
