In Loving Memory of Tulio “Bud” J. Garonzi October 13, 1935 - January 13, 2025 With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Tulio (Bud) J. Garonzi, who left this world on January 13th, 2025, at the age of 89, in the comfort of his home. He is survived by his children Terri Garonzi, Dena (James) Gazza, Tulio (Lisamarie) Garonzi, and Traci (Keith) Hilliard; brother Reno Garonzi; grandchildren Elysse (Nick) Catino, Joseph (Kristen) Gazza, Ashley (Paul) Marchwinski, Nicolas Hilliard, and Melina Hilliard; great grandchildren Zoe and Eva Catino and Logan and Leo Gazza; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him. Tulio is preceded in death by his parents Tulio and Elizabeth Garonzi; wife Donna Garonzi (Raymond); infant son Joseph Garonzi; siblings Bruno (June) Garonzi, Marie (James) Succheralli, Inez (John) Mouser, Florence (Samuel) Pace, and Betty “Jean” (Herman) Blakley. Tulio was known lovingly by his grandchildren as “Papa”, and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grand-father. He found joy in spending time with his family, cooking, watching and analyzing sports, and fixing anything that wasn’t broken. Born on October 13th, 1935 in Lucerne Mines, Pennsylvania, Tulio was a man of quiet strength and unwavering dedication. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Tulio served his country with honor. He then pursued a fulfilling career as a barber, connecting with his community and sharing his warm smile. He later worked as a member of the United Mine Workers Local 2193 from 1976 to 1992, where he embodied resilience and hard work. A private memorial will be held in his honor. Tulio’s life of service, hard work, and love for friends and family will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
