Thomas L. Strawn

Thomas L. Strawn passed away peacefully on June 28, 2023, at home with his wife and children lovingly by his side at the age of 80.

Tom was born to Ruth (Alston) Strawn and Bertram Strawn in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  After graduating from Peabody High School in Pittsburgh, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served as an operating room technician. Tom was the proud owner of Strawn Sales and Service, where he served the outdoor power equipment industry for over thirty years.  Tom had a passion for customer service and enjoyed the countless friendships that he had made over the years.

Tom thoroughly enjoyed working in his gardens, maintaining a meticulous lawn, and spending time with his family and friends.  He loved helping his daughters with projects and enjoyed fixing and repairing almost anything around the house.

Tom is survived by his wife Patricia, their three daughters: Michelle Petrovsky (Bernie), Susan Capozzolo (Robert), and Sharon Compton; his grandchildren Kylen Maloney and David Maloney and his brother Raymond Strawn (Kathy).  He was preceded in death by his parents Bertram and Ruth Strawn as well as his brothers Warren and Ken Strawn.

A celebration of life with family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 6 PM to 7 PM at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home in Indiana, PA.  A memorial service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel, with Chaplain Lori Parks officiating.

All are welcome to share memories and stories of Tom’s life at the memorial service.
