Susan Kaye (Thomas) Blazavich, 71 of Creekside passed into peace on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Born April 4, 1955 to Benjamin Eugene Thomas and Virginia Ellen Van Horn in Indiana, PA. She was raised in Marion Center in the Thomas family’s funeral home. She retained a lifelong love for the small town, and maintained cherished, lifelong friendships from her childhood. Kaye was born with an innate passion for animals, something she would always say was in her blood, a trait which exhibited itself in her love of every furred and feathered companion. Her world was always made richer in the presence of her animals. This enduring passion would only be exceeded by her profound love for and devotion to her family, the true center of Kaye's universe. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by her one true love and husband Terry, whom she wed on July 1, 1972. Her sons Eric (Mistie) of Creekside; Jeffrey (Megan) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Jeremy, Hendersonville, NC. As well as her beloved grandchildren Isabel (Emilee) and Benjamin who are going to miss their “Bubba.” Kaye is survived by her brothers Terry Thomas, Hugh (Jill) Smith, Brad Talley and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Candace Streams. Arrangements will be handled by the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.
