Stanley James Buggey, 74, of Indiana, entered eternal paradise with our Savior, Nov. 27, 2024, at home with his family.
The son of Raymond and Pauline (Yackuboskey) Buggey, he was born on May 23, 1950, in Indiana, PA.
Stanley worked in the coal industry for most of his career and later was the Homer City Borough Manager. He also owned and operated Roy’s Atlantic in Homer City. He loved to build, fix things and work on his Corvette. Stanley helped his children with many of their house projects and was always there to lend a hand. One of the proudest things he built was a 1950’s soda fountain room and theater above the garage. Where many family and friends made some beautiful memories. Stanley was hard working and a strong man of faith. He enjoyed cooking, making soups, sauce, meatballs and apple pies. If you knew him, there was always plenty of food for everyone to take home.
Stanley wed Arlene Smith on July 23, 1971, and were married for 53 years. They are the proud parents of three children, Travis (Amber) and children, Marco and Alex; Shannon (Lucio) Palilla and children, Luca, Giovanna, and Nico; Kara (Andrew) Krauss and children, Dane, Jude and Hope.
Stanley has many beloved brothers and sisters, the late Rayburn (Marlene) Buggey, Jean (Patrick) Bernard, Marlene (Robert) Buffone, the late David (Debbie) Buggey, Bernadette (Jose) Cervera, the late Dennis (Teresa) Buggey, Yvonne Buggey and partner Debi Kozik, Kevin (Tammy) Buggey, Chris (Linda) Buggey, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special thanks to the many family and friends who helped Stanley, so he could spend his last weeks at home with his wife, Arlene and family.
Services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 50 S. 7th Street, Indiana, PA, on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024. A Gathering of family and friends will begin at 12:30, followed by a memorial service at 1:00.
