Sherri Jane Armstrong, 59, of Marienville, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020, while at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
The daughter of Edward A.A. and Martha Jane (Dockstader) Heberling, she was born December 6, 1960 in El Paso, Texas.
Sherri grew up in Home and graduated from Marion Center High School. She went on to study Air Traffic Control and Airport Management at Purdue University and spent some time working for US Airways. She eventually transitioned to working as a title abstractor landman for gas and oil companies as well as working in the assisted living field.
Living near the Allegheny National Forest she enjoyed snowmobiling and spending time in the outdoors with family and her dogs. Sherri was known to have a large garden and shared many canned items with family and friends. She is remembered with love and those close will hold memories of her sense of adventure, lively storytelling, and her love of nature and animals.
Survivors include her fiance, Keith Pisani, of Pittsburgh; children Nathan Armstrong, of Harrisburg; Chad (Logan) Armstrong, of Fredericksburg, VA; Vincent (Brenda) Armstrong, of Marion Center; Tiffany (Cory) Wells, of Creekside; and nine grandchildren; mother, Martha Heberling, of Home; siblings Lori Heberling, of Plumville; Stacy Stroup, of Houston, TX, and John Heberling, of Home.
Preceding Sherri in death were her father Edward A.A. Heberling; grandmother Ida Dockstader; brother Edward Aaron Heberling and his wife Tracy; sister in-law Brenda Kirk; and her son, Jesse Armstrong.
A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.
Donations may be made in her remembrance to one of the following organizations Allegheny National Forest, mental health organizations, assisted living facilities, or for breast cancer research.
