Sally McCormick Obituary

Sally Ann McCormick, 87 of Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Communities at Indian Haven.

She was born May 13, 1938 to Nick and Minnie (Snyder) Kostella.

Sally worked at Hill’s Department Store for over 20 years before her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, reading, crossword puzzles and cooking. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. One of her favorite things to do was selling tickets at her granddaughters annual wiffle ball tournament.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter. Donald P. McCormick and wife Pauline, Indiana, a daughter, Connie A. Crawford (Curt), MT, Richard L. “Gus” McCormick (Robin), Indiana, four Grandchildren, Justin P. McCormick, Joshua L. McCormick, Kelley Fako, Chad Getty, six great grandchildren, Trent, Adalynn, Grant, Hayley, Olivia, Reid, a brother Nicholas “Bill” Kostella (Marie), DE., and several nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Lee McCormick in 1983, a granddaughter Julie K. McCormick.

Friends will be received on Monday, from 4-8PM and also on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Doug Snyder officiating. Graveside services will follow at Smicksburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA, 1501 Reedsdale St., Pittsburgh, PA 15233.
