Ronald J. Ireland

Ronald J. “Jake” Ireland passed away on August 8, 2024 at his home.

Ronald was born September 4, 1937 in Plumville, Pennsylvania to Alexander and Violet (Olsen) Ireland.

He graduated from Marion Center High School in 1955. He married the love of his life Harriet Lewis on December 15, 1972. He worked at McCreary Tire and Rubber for 21 years before leaving and, going to work at Custom Window Extrusions, inc. for over 20 years before retiring in 2017 at 79 years old.

He enjoyed Turkey hunting, fishing and spending lots of time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter; Philip B. Ireland (LuAnn), Linda A. Ireland and her companion Michelle, and Robert R. Ireland; four brothers, James Ireland (Bea), Robert “Bud” Ireland (Arlene), William Ireland (Peggy), and Richard Ireland (Judy); ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a sister, Polly Ireland, and a son, Daniel H. Ireland.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Military honors will be held after the service.
