Richard Patterson Obituary

Richard Allan Patterson, Sr., 60, Clymer, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 while at Allegheny General Hospital with his loving family by his side.

The son of Frank and Leila (Behe) Suwolitch, he was born August 14, 1959 in Indiana, PA.

Richard had been employed as a truck driver throughout his lifetime. He was certified as an EMT and served as a volunteer firefighter for many years. Richard enjoyed building models, fishing, hunting, making jokes and playing pranks. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Richard will be remembered as a loving father, brother, and grandfather.

Surviving are his sons, Richard (Sara) Patterson, Jr. and Robin (Alyssa) Patterson; grandchildren, Emberly, Levi, and Carolyn; sisters, Margaret (James) Bash, Shirley (Clark) Cribbs, Donna Stormer, and Frances (William) Oswalt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul Reed.

A private visitation and funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.
