Nilene G. Dies

Nilene Gay Dies, 78, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2024. The daughter of Lester and Dorothy (Lichtenfels) Dies, she was born September 30, 1945, in Blairsville.

Nilene was a very loving and giving aunt. She was a wonderful babysitter and raised many children through the years (too many to mention and all whom adore her to this day). Nilene loved to play bingo and cards.

Surviving is her loving daughter, Chelsie Dies, who was her pride and joy; niece/daughter, Justina Dies; sister, Janet Zayac; family friend, Destinie Lindsay; and many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends who loved her.

Preceding in death were her parents, Lester and Dorothy (Lichtenfels) Dies; siblings, Doris Davis, Helen Murdick, Buddy, Richard, Ruby, Arlene Dies, twin sister, Maxine Tagliati, Donnie, Dean Dies, Patricia Helman and infant sister Shirley Dies.

Friends will be received on Thursday, from noon until 2 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, 898 Old Route 119 N Indiana Pa 15701. Funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel.
