Nickolas "Nick" Ruffner

Nickolas “Nick” Matthew Ruffner, 22, Home, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 while at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

The son of Heather (Ruffner) Gromley and Matthew Wood, he was born June 3, 1997 in Indiana, PA.

Nick enjoyed riding four wheelers, hunting, fishing, shooting guns, and spending time with friends.  He will be remembered as a loving son and brother. 

Surviving is his mother, Heather Gromley and her husband, James “Jim”; father, Matthew Wood, and his wife, Amy; siblings, Devon Wood, Carter Gilmore, McKenna Wood, Wyatt Gromley, Kaylee Gromley Landon Wood and Ashton Wood; grandparents, Lawrence Wood, Allen and Johna Ruffner, Sherri Cooper, Alan Stotts, John and Gail Gromley, Dwayne and Deb Evans; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Nick was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Philip Cooper and paternal grandmother, Margie Wood.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.  A funeral service will immediately in the Lefdahl Chapel with Pastor Dylan Peck, officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home to assist with funeral arrangements
