Michaela “Mikey” Boston passed away on February 4th 2024 at her home.
She was born April 26, 1996 to Michelle Boston in Indiana, Pa.
Mikey was survived by her mother Michelle Ferrington and step father James Ferrington Jr., sisters Rebecca and Caitlyn Boston, grandparents Jim and Debbie Ferrington, Vicki Kinkella, Frances (Sam) Boston and countless Aunts, Uncles, and cousins including Carrie (Memaw) Steigerwald.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather Francis “Frank” Boston.
Some of Mikey’s favorite things to do, were attend ATA Karate, participate in the Special Olympics for multiple sports, Miracle League Baseball, IUP Best Buddies Program, TRACS, Steps for Success, and volunteering at the animal shelter. She was recently voted onto the Arc of Indiana County's board as a self-advocate. Mikey loved her church family at Crete Presbyterian Church, served as a Deacon, participated with the Clara Henderson Missionary Society, and participated in the church choir where she shared her sign language skills. Mikey loved caring for others as well as caring for animals. She was a kind-soul with a heart of gold. During Mikey’s adventures she has encountered endless friends and enjoyed every single one of them. Mikey had a very silly sense of humor that was infectious and adored.
The family would like to invite friends to visit her at the viewing and make a personalized card or note to say goodbye. This will take place at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home 898 old Route 119, N., Indiana, PA from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday February 8, 2024. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday February 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Katie Stear officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the John A Lefdahl Funeral Home.
