Marian Johnson

On December 8, 2019, Marian Eileen “Mame” Johnson, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, while at Bethany Place Personal Care Home.

The daughter of Carl W. and Marian Betty (Park), she was born August 18, 1947 in Indiana, Pa.

Mame was a faithful Christian and a member of the Creekside United Methodist Church.

She was a 1965 graduate of the Marion Center High School. After school, she was employed at Musser Nursery for over 20 years. During those years, she made many friends and truly loved her work.

She was a loving and caring daughter for her parents and when time permitted she enjoyed reading, bird watching, and keeping a diary.

Mame enjoyed playing the French horn in the Ernest Union Band with her father for many years, performing locally and out of state.

Surviving are many cousins and numerous friends.

Preceding Marian in death were her parents and a sister, Sue Ann Johnson.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.  A funeral service will immediately follow in the Chapel with Rev. Edwards.  

Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery will be private.
