Lula Mae Buterbaugh

Lula Mae Buterbaugh, 89, of Brush Valley, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Communities at Indian Haven.

She was born October 5, 1935 to Earl E. and Lillian L. (Miller) Sexton.

Lula graduated from Lowrey High School and Normal School with a degree in nursing. She worked at Scenery Hill Manor and St. Andrew’s Village as an RN for 20 years. During her free time Lula enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, NASCAR, traveling, reading, mystery and romance novels, canning, quilting and making teddy bears for everyone she knew. She made so many she lost count.

She is survived by a daughter Deborah Robertson, Robinson, a son Edwin Buterbaugh (Lisa), Brush Valley, three grandchildren, Rich Robertson, Ryan Robertson, Angela Robertson nine great grandchildren, Haley, Tyler, Brady, E.J., Bella, Champ, and Liam Robertson, Jordynn and Jaycee George, three brothers, Donald, Timothy and Raymond Sexton.

He was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edwin Buterbaugh on April 20, 2023, a son-in-law Rich Robertson, and grandson Rob Robertson

Friends will be received on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, 898 Old Hwy119 N., Indiana, PA 15701.

Interment will take place at Brush Valley Cemetery.
