Judith Ann (Simpson) Kovell

Judith Ann “Judy” Kovell, 76, of Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, with her family by her side.

She was born February 25, 1950, to James H. and Dorothy Emma (Shank) Simpson in Indiana.

Judy was a member of Grace Church in Indiana. She worked 39 years as an administrative assistant, working for the Indiana School District, Intermediate 9, and worked for IUP for over 20 years. Judy enjoyed walking, bowling, cooking, and watching birds in her yard. Most of all Judy loved having coffee with her friends and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Paul M. Kovell, Jr., Indiana, a son, Paul M. Kovell, III, and wife Tracey, two grandsons, Gunnar and Wyatt Kovell, all of Upper St. Clair, a sister, Janet Johns and husband Roy, Hummelstown, two nieces Stephanie Stebbins, NJ, and Kristina Johns, Lancaster.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Cindy

Friends will be received on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, 898 Old Route 119, North, Indiana, PA 16701, with Pastor William J. Blair officiating.

Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
