Joyce Swanger Obituary

Joyce Louise Swanger, 82, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023, while at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born January 22, 1941, in Export PA, she was the daughter of John and Clara (Stover) Terhorst.

Joyce was a graduate of Franklin Area Joint High School. She was employed by the VNA of Indiana as a CNA and after that did private duty for over 20 years. She was well loved by all of her patients and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

She enjoyed watching TV, dining out, and spending time with her family. Surviving are her sons, Jared (Cindy) Swanger, Chambersville, and Jamie Swanger, Indiana; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a brother, John (Ruth) Terhorst, Harrison City.

Preceding Joyce in death were her parents; her husband William; and 2 sisters, Audrey and Marjorie.

Funeral arrangements will be private and entrusted to the John A Lefdahl Funeral Home.
