Joseph John Machak

Joseph John Machak, 90, Shelocta, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020 while at his residence.

The son of John August and Esther (Sherbon) Machak, he was born August 15, 1929 in Kent, PA.

Mr. Machak had been employed for numerous years with Westinghouse.  He served in the United States Army as a Sergeant.  Mr. Machak was a member of the St. Bernard Church.  His interests including fishing and fly tying.  He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Surviving are his children, Debbie (Randy) Bier, Shelocta and Ronald Joseph (Alyce) Machak, Gastonia, NC; grandchildren, Julie Bier, Richmond, VT, Joseph (Jodi) Bier, Saxonburg, Joel (Julie) Machak, Fort Bragg, NC, Logan (Haily) Machak, Gastonia, NC; great grandchildren, Finley, Henry, Avery Bier, all of Saxonburg; and a brother, Harry Machak, Saltsburg.  

Preceded Mr. Machak in death were his parents; his wife, Janet Elizabeth (Maryai) Machak; and a sister, Mary Jane Watkins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Arrangements are private and under the direction of the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.
