Janet Parker (Ogg) Johnson, 84, of Indiana, passed away Thursday September 5, 2024 at St. Andrew’s Village, Indiana.
The daughter of William and Ruth (Lyon) Ogg, she was born November 23, 1939 in Worchester, MA.
Janet was a graduate of Fitchburg State College in MA where she received her degree in elementary education. She later obtained her Master Degree in elementary counseling from Shippensburg College. Janet was employed for approximately 25 years for the Chambersburg School District. As well as teaching, she also served as an elementary guidance counselor. Her interests included knitting, cooking, traveling and sewing. She had been a member of the Eastern Star and past worthy matron.
She is survived by her children, Karl Sprenger, Indiana and Kurt W. (Cristin) Sprenger, Fishersville, VA; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Sprenger, Pittsburgh, and Keith Sprenger, Indiana and twins, Alexander and Peter Sprenger, Fishersville, VA.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry Karl Johnson, January 2024, a brother, William Lyon Ogg, and daughter-in-law Rhonda Sprenger.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM, at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, 898 Old Route 119 North, Indiana, PA 15701.
