James Finnegan

James John Finnegan, 66, Saltsburg, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 at his residence.

The son of James H. and Rosemary (Alberter) Finnegan, he was born August 6, 1953 in Johnstown, PA.

For many years, Jim found much pleasure in Civil War reenacting.  He was proud of the fact that and he his Civil War regiment appeared in the movie Gods and Generals.  Jim was a member of the NRA and he enjoyed hunting in his spare time.

Surviving are his wife, Veronica (Wisniewski); daughter, Heather Smith and her significant other, Shawn Diehl; grandchildren, Emily Smith, Elijah, Olivia, Angela, Winter, and Logan Diehl; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

James was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.  A funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel.

Interment in the Oakland Cemetery will be private.
