James A "Jim" Shaffer

James A. “Jim” Shaffer, 56, of Indiana, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025 at his home with his family by his side.

He was born December 28, 1968, to Arthur James and Elizabeth Jane (Fulton) Shaffer in Indiana, PA.

Jim was an equipment operator for various companies, most recently working for Urban Outfitters. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, making homemade sauerkraut and venison sausage at his good friend Charley Shay’s shop. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years Pamela (Shaffer) Shaffer, Indiana, a daughter, Alisha Petrone (Judah), Export, step-daughter Amanda Shumate (Eugene Lute), Indiana, a step-son Bryan L. Brewer (Kelsey), Aultman, seven grandchildren, Jada, Wyatt, William, Carson, Oliver, Amara and Parker, five sisters, Virginia Engle (David),Clymer, Mary Clark ,Blairsville, Linda Clark, MI, Sharon Varney, Indiana, Cynthia Webb (TX) and numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, a niece Ashley Nicole Keith and a nephew, Ralph Emerson Clark

Friends will be received on Thursday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home Inc., 898 Old Route 119 Hwy N., Indiana, PA 15701, with Pastor Robert White officiating.
