Gary D. Fairman, 77, of Indiana, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Concordia at Cabot, Cabot, PA.
He was born October 24, 1948 to Rayburn and Anna Mae (Duncan) Fairman in Indiana.
Gary was a Veteran of the Vietnam war, serving with the United States Navy.
He was a 1966 graduate of the Indiana Area High School. Gary worked for the Homer City Power Plant for 40 years before retiring in 2011. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, especially the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. He was involved in the youth sports organizations when his children were growing up. Most of all he loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, school functions and activities.
He is survived by a son and a daughter, Todd R. Fairman and wife Alicia, Sarver, Tara L. Zimmerman and husband Jason, Shaler, three grandchildren Zachary D. Fairman, Samatha N. Fairman, Joshua D. Fairman, a brother Jeff Fairman and wife Maxine, Rural Valley, a sister in-law, Connie Fairman, Creekside, and five nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sandra L. Fairman in 2004 and a brother Ray Fairman.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until the time of service at 8:00 PM at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, 898 Old Route 119 N., Indiana, PA 15701.
