Frederick Grove, 76, of Home, PA, passed away peacefully on July, 7, 2024, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Fred was born on July 19, 1947 to the late couple, Lowry “Abe” and Cleo (Bell) Grove of Indiana, PA. He was the younger sibling to the late Jackie Carnahan of Creekside, PA and to Lowry “Abe” Grove, Jr. of Home, PA.
Fred was a graduate of Indiana High School in 1965, and at age 21 he wed his cherished wife of 55 years, Judith (Walker) of Saltsburg, PA.
He was employed by National Mine Service Co. for 32 years. Fred enjoyed quiet moments spent on the trails of the Susquehanna Forest, hunting wildlife with friends and family, and working on projects at home or at their camp in Potter County.
Fred’s kind heart and gentle soul will be deeply missed by his daughter Meghan of Marion Center, PA, his son Gerrad, wife Amy and grandson Joshua of Pittsburgh, PA, his brother Abe and wife Holly, and his brother-in-law Les and wife Sandy Walker of Leesburg, VA, and many nieces and nephews.
