Evelyn Clare Buratti, 80, of Indiana, went home to be with the lord on Monday, August 12, 2019.
She was the daughter of Leroy and Evelyn Marie (Means) Trimble, born November 2, 1938 in Indiana.
Evelyn was the beloved wife of 58 years to Albert Buratti, and loving mother to Karen (John) Barbati of Pittsburgh and Jon Buratti, Burbank, California, sister to George (Elenora) Trimble, Buffalo, NY and Jim (Rita) Trimble, Richmond, VA; along with many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn retired from the Indiana Schools where she worked in the cafeteria. Evelyn loved all children, both good and bad. Evelyn had a strong faith and was an active member in the First Christian Church, Indiana. She enjoyed traveling in these United States with her husband and was an excellent baker who made the most delicious apple pies. Her inspirational strength and love for her family and friends will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Anna Bacha along with her husband Joe and Margaret Bruner.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral home, Indiana, PA. An additional hour of viewing will be held Friday morning in the funeral home from 10 am to 11 am at which time her funeral service will be conducted in the Lefdahl Chapel.
Entombment will follow in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
