Eric V. Johnston, 60, of Blairsville, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026 at St. Andrew’s Village House in Indiana. Born on December 23, 1965, Eric lived a life defined by quiet strength, deep faith, and a genuine willingness to help others.
Eric dedicated 40 years of service to Integrated Power Services, where he was known for his reliability and work ethic. Outside of work, he was a devoted member of the First Church of God in Indiana, PA, where his faith guided his life and shaped the kindness he showed to everyone around him.
Eric will be remembered for his unwavering belief in God and for the gentle, humble way he supported others. He never sought recognition, yet his quiet acts of service left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Eric is survived by his brother Daren Johnston and wife Mindy of Penn Run, his sister Tracy Johnston of Creekside, two nephews Zach Johnston and Billy Gunnett, and two nieces Katie Johnston and Amy Shultz who will forever cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his wife Melissa Trimble Johnston and his parents Blair and Connie Johnston.
Honoring Eric’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the First Church of God in Indiana, PA, with Pastor Matt Lantz presiding.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of St. Andrew’s Village House and Monarch Hospice for the kindness, support, and care shown to Eric.
