Elizabeth “Betty” Louise Wells, 97, Chambersville, died Thursday, January 16, 2020, at the Communities at Indian Haven.
The daughter of Frank and Avanell (Hetrick) Domiano, she was born May 23, 1922 in Vandergrift, PA.
Betty was a 1940 graduate of Vandergrift High School. She had resided in Chambersville for seventy years and was a member of the Crooked Creek Baptist Church. Betty had been a member of the Crooked Creek Missionary Society and also assisted the election board for many years.
During her life time she became interested in crafts, painting ceramics and crocheting. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
Surviving are her four sons, Jim (Peggy) Wells, Terra Alta, WV, Dave (Cathy) Wells, Creekside, Don (Loretta) Wells, Home, and Ron (Barbie) Wells, Creekside; thirteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, and twenty eight great great grandchildren.
Preceding Betty in death were her parents; husband Howard; brothers, Harold, Frank, Robert and Edward; and a sister, Lorraine Long and her husband, Bud.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be conducted Monday morning, 11 am, in the Lefdahl Chapel with Pastor Julius Guidash, officiating.
Interment in the Crooked Creek Baptist church will be private.
