Edna Mae Green

Edna Mae(Eddington) Green, age 75, died in her home in Indiana, PA on June 25, 2024. She was born to Robert Leon Eddington and Laura Frances Lenoir on December 14, 1948. She was a 1967 graduate of High Point School in Sweetwater, TN. She married Robert Edward Green later that same year. While raising four children, Edna Mae worked hard to become the manager of Family Dollar. Edna Mae then moved to Indiana, Pennsylvania shortly after the death of her husband, with her 4 children. She worked at The Valley Dairy Restaurant and Calico’s Bar and Grille as a cook in Indiana. Mrs. Green enjoyed crocheting, putting together puzzles, and swimming. She loved being in the company of her friends and family, surrounded by good music and lots of laughter. She is survived by her sister, Doris Eddington of Sweetwater, TN; her daughter, Claudia (Sissy) A. Green of Lexington, KY; her daughter, Denise Shawnette Weakland of Indiana, PA; her daughter-in-law Angela Renee Green of Myrtle Beach, SC, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Edward Green; her brother, Robert Eddington; her son, Christopher Scott Green; her daughter Pamela Lynett Green, and her granddaughter, Giavonna Green. Memorial services will take place at The Chevy Chase Community Center in Indiana, PA on July 13, 2027 at 11:00 am. A luncheon will be served in Conner Hall at the community center immediately following the service.
