Diane Shoenfelt

Diane Jean Shoenfelt, 73, Penn Run, died Monday, February 3, 2020 while at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

The daughter of Kenneth and Shirley Ann Prucha Martens, she was born January 23, 1947 in Chicago, IL.

Diane was a wonderful and loving wife and mother. She made the home a happy environment for her family, filled with laughter.   Diane loved to play with her grandchildren, creating lots of fun, messy, hands on, on the floor memories.  When Grandma played board games with the kids, everyone got to cheat and they all won.  She enjoyed making music with friends while worshipping her Savior Jesus Christ. But she loved to make music with the grandkids.  She would get all of them playing guitar, drums or keyboards and singing praise songs to Jesus.  She will be greatly missed. 

Surviving are her children, Janet (Ed) Shilling, Shelocta and David (Jennifer) Shoenfelt, Indiana; brother, Kenneth (Emily) Martens, Chicago; and 7 grandchildren, James, John, Lily, Alayna, Jacob, Evan, and Bailey.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert David Shoenfelt.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Pastor Joe Ryer officiating.

Interment in the Oakland Cemetery will be private.
