Dennis Edward Grelle

Dennis Edward Grelle, 74, of Indiana, passed away on Friday September 12, 2025 at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 14, 1951 to Paul C. and Lucille (Wasinger) Grelle in St. Louis, MO.

Dennis graduated in 1973 from the University of Missouri (Rolla Engineering campus), with a degree in Mining Engineering earning his PE license in 1978.  His fourty year career as an engineer began in West Virginia and subsequently brought him to Pennsylvania in 1975. He worked for several mining companies and was last employed as Chief Engineer for Rosebud Mining Company where he retired in 2017. He enjoyed being at home where he always had a new project in mind to design. Dennis had many talents, a dry sense of humor, a sharp wit and a kind heart. He enjoyed being at home, being with family and was always interested in hearing what was happening in the lives of his numerous nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marion (Skinner) Grelle, Indiana, a brother Kenneth Grelle (Carol), a sister Barbara Lowes (Edward), an aunt, Sister Bernita Wasinger of St. Louis, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Paul [Karon] and Frank [Debbie] Grelle. 

A private family memorial service will be celebrated at a later date.
