Dennis Banks, Sr.

Dennis James Banks, Sr., 64, Marion Center, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at his residence.

The son of Clifford and Helen (Hendricks) Banks, he was born February 15, 1955 in Indiana, PA.

Dennis was employed by Barker Bus Company and was a member of the Marion Center Volunteer Fire Department.  He enjoyed puzzle books, camping, playing pool, and spending time with his family.

Surviving is his wife of 44 years, Sharon (Shank) Banks, Marion Center; children, Pamala (Dale) Ferringer, Home, Dennis (Staci) Banks, Jr., Marion Center, Lisa Saxfield and her significant other, Rex Jarvie, Commodore, Gary (Heather) Banks, Clymer; grandchildren, Brandon and Waylon Ferringer, both of Home, Tyler, Tiffany, and Tanner Banks, all of Marion Center, Krista, Cody, Austin, and Miley Saxfield, all of Home, Cadin Banks, Indiana; special niece and nephew, Kayla and Eric Harris; siblings, Brenda (Phil) Smiley, Creekside, Priscilla (Willis) Sherry, Georgeville, William (Linda) Banks, Mahaffey, Linda Banks and her significant other, Robert Brother, Mahaffey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lawrence Banks; and a sister, Patty Sabon.

A tribute service in honor of Dennis will be conducted on Friday at 5p.m. at the Marion Center Volunteer Fire Hall.  Following the service, a meal will be served.  All food donations should be delivered to the firehall prior to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, 898 Old Route 119 N, Indiana, Pa 15701 to assist with funeral arrangements or the Marion Center Volunteer Fire Department.
