Charles Edmund Potts, 81, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at his residence with his loving wife by his side.
The son of Arthur Raymond and Esther (Northine) Potts, he was born October 31, 1938 in Home, PA.
Charles had been employed for 33 years by Bethlehem Steel-Johnstown America and served in the United States Army Reserves for 10 years. Charles was a member of the Homer City Church of the Nazarene and the United Steel Workers of America. He enjoyed Nascar and local dirt track racing where he announced many of the races.
Surviving is his wife, Carol Louise (Park) Potts whom he wed February 12, 1972; brother-in-law, Richard Park and his friend, Georgia; nieces and nephews, Janet Potts, June Potts and her friend, Rich, Pam Park, and Richard (Aimee) Park; great nieces and nephews, Cherise (Jared) Smith, Lexie Driskell and her friend, Matt; Skylar Park, Matthew Martin, and Jonathan Martin; and a great great-nieces, Kabelah Zadie and Lindsay.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David H. Potts.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. An additional hour of viewing will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Homer City Church of the Nazarene with a funeral service to immediately follow with Rev. Robert Flick, officiating.
