Carolyn Jean (Burkhammer) Beatty, 65, Indiana, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 3, 2025.
The daughter of Charles Opha and Patricia Irene (Coy) Burkhammer, she was born on February 28, 1960, in Indiana, PA.
Carolyn grew up with her family in Rochester, PA, and often visited her grandparents at their farm in Indiana, PA, where she met her future husband, Roger. She worked numerous years in the hospitality industry, including many years at the Holiday Inn and at Dingbat’s, both in Indiana. Carolyn had volunteered as a leader for the Southern Dairy 4-H Club and was active in fundraising for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
Surviving are her sons, Timothy Beatty and Jason Beatty, both of Indiana; grandchildren, Ann Marie, Alexander, Damian, Carson, Andrew, and Braylon Beatty; sisters, Deb Connolly, Paula Hamner, and Kimberly (Richard) Bishop; brother, Michael Burkhammer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, and by her loving husband, Roger. A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date, TBD.
In lieu of food and flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
