Carmen Espinosa, 78, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 while at Communities at Indian Haven.
The daughter of Ines Barreto Rivera and Alcadia Feliciano Luciano, was born July 30, 1941 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.
Carmen attended St. Thomas More University Parish. She enjoyed attending activities at the senior center and often referred to the activities as her job. Carmen enjoyed cooking and was known around town for her famous Flan which was served at the Grapevine Restaurant. She also enjoyed sewing, reading, watching HGTV, Hallmark movies, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy but especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Mary Ann (Richard) Koll, NY, Barbara Espinosa Van Leer, MA, Frances Espinosa, FL, Carmen (Joe) Belanger, MD, Katrina (Vince) Rodgers, PA; stepdaughter, Yolanda Espinosa, FL; grandchildren, Nelson Espinosa, FL, Samantha Koll, NY, Alexis Wilson, PA, Jon Koll, NY, Lola Van Leer, PA, Fox Van Leer, PA, Rachel Wilson, PA, Soledad Belanger, MD; and step-grandchildren, Matthew Cohen, PA, Gavin and Brynn Arnall, MI; great grandchildren, Skyla Camacho, NJ and Carina Espinosa, FL.
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tito Espinosa; and grandson, Alexander Camacho.
A funeral service will be held on April 25, 2020 at 1:00 pm at St. Thomas More University Parish.
The John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
